Acerola #2- Health Benefits

While the Acerola Cherry is one of the most richest sources of Vitamin C, there are many other reasons people are attracted to this small fruit. Acerola has a carotene content comparable to carrots while also supplying potassium, niacin, magnesium, pahtothenic acid, vitamin B1, and Vitamin B2.

And again, this fruit has its hightest level of nutrients while it is still green, so most of this fruit is harvested at the green stage to capture the highest quality.

Vitamin C is so important for our bodies because it carries a natural antihistamine, antioxidant, and on top of it all, detoxifies. This means that Acerola also helps our bodies fight free radicals, helping us function at our highest health level.

Acerola can be found in many over-the-counter multivitamin products in North America, although the most common use is in a juice form.

Some top reasons for using Acerola:
  • Colds/Flu's.
  • Skin care/Anti-aging.
  • Overall health.
  • To help your heart.
  • General Illnesses.

When made in Brazil, Acerola is dilluted well before drinking. If you decide to make Acerola, try this recipe:
